Admission Criteria

Invictus Woods' admission criteria are as follows:

  • Age 18 or older
  • In no risk of withdrawal from alcohol or drugs
  • A reputable reference
  • Possess medical clearance of rehab status
  • Must have completed a 28-day treatment (or other recovery experience) prior to entry
  • Required to accept the 24-hour structured setting
  • Must be ambulatory and capable of self-care
  • Must alert Invictus Woods of any special limitations (Such as allergies to bee stings, food or medication, etc.)
  • Invictus Woods accepts all individuals who meet the established criteria regardless of race, color, national origin, religion or sexual orientation. All staff members at Invictus Woods speak English, and we do not guarantee availability of a Spanish-speaking professional on site.

What to Pack

Invictus Woods is located in Mid Central Illinois, in heart of the Midwest. Participants should take into account the four seasons when packing. We recommend:

  • Two weeks of casual attire including jeans, shirts, socks, underwear, jackets, rain gear, robe, pajamas and slippers
  • Shower shoes and a shower bag with personal toiletries (nonalcoholic creams and lotions)
  • Alarm clock
  • Sturdy shoes or hiking boots
  • Tennis or walking shoes for gym
  • Gloves

An inventory will be taken of all personal belongings. All residents are solely responsible for the caring of their personal items in their room. Invictus Woods accepts no responsibility for items that are lost, loaned out, stolen, broken or damaged. Any items left behind at Invictus Woods will be shipped home to the participant’s address within 48 hours of discharge, and all shipping charges will be deducted from the balance of the account.

Completion Guidelines

Successful completion of Invictus Woods’ program requires a participant:

  • Establish a firm commitment to abstinence of all mood or mind altering chemicals
  • Complete all program activities and exhibit a change in attitude and behaviors
  • Be employed or in college
  • Demonstrate the ability to self-manage financial resources
  • Display an improved level of social integration with peers, staff and family
